VFX

The idea?

Visual Effects (VFX) is a term used to describe the various techniques used to create or enhance video images. They are often used in movies, television programs, commercials, music videos and video games. VFX techniques can be used to create realistic or imaginative environments, characters, and special effects, such as explosions, fire, lightning, and smoke. Common VFX techniques include motion tracking, compositing, computer-generated imagery (CGI), 3D animation, matte painting, digital set extensions, and digital matte painting. VFX can also be used to make existing footage more realistic, or to add special effects and atmosphere to a scene that would otherwise be difficult or impossible to achieve with practical effects.
